now we're going to listen to a very special message now please be seated for a moment everybody sit down and we're going to listen very carefully from here we are about to begin the communion right and then the concluding rites and we begin with the Lord's Prayer we have what is M hardest prayer so often that maybe we don't really focus on the words but this is the only prayer that Jesus hymn told us to say to God our Father who doesn't need a lot of words  we ask God to give us Our Daily Bread what does that mean it cools up the image of manna in the desert and the routine needs of living but for us as Christians this means pre-eminently the Eucharistic bread the bread of life we also ask God to forgive us and to help us to forgive others forgiveness transforms us so we may be people for when we receive the bread of life  here at American Martyrs We Stand Together joining Hands Across the aisle as a sign of our Unity when you travel around you may notice that not every church has this practice and there is no rule that requires where is it some may use the ancient Aaron's position with hands open as a sign of our need and dependence on God's Providence either way we stand together in prayer the sign of Peace follows this is not a secular greeting not a Hi how are you not a chance to talk to Those whom we miss greeting as we entered the church it is a time to extend to one another a sign of peace not our own  how can we extend price peace to one another we can do this because we are messengers Christ reminding each other of the peace Christ offers to each of us to our families to our communities to our world what we do is a visible sign of our commitment to seek peace for all people the beginning of communion the priest will raise the Eucharist and remind us how blessed we are to be called supper with the Lamb of God we respond and you mility and then Faith with the words to Centauri and spoke to Jesus Lord I'm not worthy that you should enter under my roof I'm not that you should come to me into my stove  but only say the word and my soul shall be healed then we come to the communion procession it seems an unremarkable for obvious way to distribute communion efficiently but there's actually more to it than that first the very Act of standing walking tree Steve the Lord is a Public Act of Faith  second we don't walk separately as plated people  we walk together as the body of Christ a pilgrim church so when you come together morning and come forward to receive the Eucharist try to see yourself as walking not with just with the people around you in the people here this morning  privacy or so walking with all of the baptized all our loved ones all the saints throughout the ages pilgrims and Believers all seeking to encounter RC one more observation about the procession it's not a solemn quiet walk say Reverend Joyce jubilant celebration of God's love for each one of us  so when the choir invites us all to sing that's our invitation to thing the boys God loves to hear is the voice God gave you whether you think you can sing or not so if you can sing if you want to join in  after receiving communion we all return to our pews and generally we stand for you can kneel if that's your preference what matters is that we all play together until the end of communion and stay here with the whole community  when the last person has received then we can will be seated for a few moments of Silent reflection it's important to understand that well communion end turn the end of communion is not the end of the mass for each of us to experience the fullness of them and the full experience of this celebration we need you mean together  the concluding Rite of the Mask which comes after communion has a very important message for each of us about our roles and stabilities as Disciples of Christ now we're doing tomorrow
