Frequently Asked Questions from our parishioners

"Along with my regular Sunday contribution, what about the special collection envelopes that I use?"

You may designate how your monthly contribution will be divided. Monthly contributions can still be made to Building Maintenance, Capital Campaign, School of Religious Eduction, Parish Education and to our Outreach Programs for the Poor.
"I feel I should place my offering into the collection basket each Sunday."

Those who give through Faith Direct are encouraged to take a parish offertory card found in the pews or the baskets upon entering the church to place in the basket during the offertory collection as a symbol of your contribution to our offertory gifts.

"What if my income changes, am I locked into the amount I allocated each month or can I adjust it?"

Due to employment changes or other circumstances, household incomes change.  Those giving to the parish through Faith Direct can decrease, increase or suspend their giving at any time.  Such changes are very timely, usually taking place with the next month's transaction.

"Can I give to Together in Mission through Faith Direct?"

Yes, login into or create a Faith Direct account and you can offer a one-time donation or a recurring donation that will be credited to the American Martyrs commitment to Together in Mission.

"What if I do not have access to a computer or the Internet?"

Not a problem! Call 866-507-8757 (toll-free). Our Parish Code for enrollment is CA308. For additional information, answers to other questions or assistance with enrollment, please call Bob Hodges at (310) 545-5651.

"Are my electronic donations to American Martyrs tax deductible?"

Of course!  American Martyrs Catholic Community is a tax exempt religious organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Consequently, your gifts to American Martyrs are tax-deductible, so long as you received no goods or services, other than intangible religious benefits, in connection with your gifts.  Our federal tax I.D. number is 95-1928640 .
