Parish Steward: Jeff Lampe

Jeff grew up in Glendora, California. Both his parents and grandparents were devout Catholics. All his education, from kindergarten through college, has been in Catholic schools. He is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University and has been a member of American Martyrs since 1996.
Jeff is a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector. He also participates with a group that says the Rosary after the Wednesday 5:30 pm daily Mass.
Jeff is a busy guy, especially during basketball season, when he is the play-by-play radio announcer for the Loyola Marymount basketball team. He is also the Director of Marketing for Arrow Electronics. During the college basketball season both jobs require a fair amount of travel. Jeff says his company has been very generous in accommodating the time he needs to do his broadcasting job.
In addition to his Catholic upbringing, sports has always been a big part of his life. In fact it was through sports that he met his wife, Erika. As an adult he took up hockey, and met Erika who was the captain for a coed hockey team she was trying to organize. They married and now have a 19 month old son named Jackson.
Jeff’s engaging and upbeat personality make him a success at both his jobs. He is also a good example of a busy person still being able to find the time to use his gifts for his parish and the people in it.
