Parish Steward: Catherine Cobb

Catherine is a high energy person.  It’s like her engine does not have an idle position.  Right now she and Jill Joaquin are co-chairing the 11th Annual AMS Golf & Tennis Classic.  For eight years she taught at the Sunday Preschool and is also involved in the Kids Book Club Ministry.  Its purpose is for families to gather with their young children and read books to them in a community setting.

Outside the parish she is involved with the American Cancer Society.  Over the years Catherine has worked and consulted with several different organizations and was the national spokesperson for a Fortune 500 company.  These activities led her to form her own business consulting firm.  She describes herself as a Business Relationship Manager,  “I am a connector for people in the business world and in our parish.”

Another key activity for her is parenting her two children, John Cobb IV, age nine and Kelly, age six.  Both attend American Martyrs School.  She has been married to John Cobb III for fifteen years and the Cobb family have been members of our parish for ten years.  Catherine has four important MYs:  MY Faith, MY Family, My Volunteer Work and My Business.

Catherine said,  “American Martyrs Parish is great because all individuals, whatever their interests may be, can find a place within the Parish community to serve, and in return, they will get back so much more!”
