Celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy

The Eucharist is the core of the message of Divine Mercy. The Jesus we see in the Image of the Divine Mercy is the same Lord and Savior we receive in the Consecrated Host. Even the words of the Divine Mercy Chaplet encapsulate the very core of our faith. The chaplet is an offering of the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the Father, in atonement for the sins of the world.
The Divine Mercy Novena begins Good Friday, March 29 and continues for nine days, and conclcudes on Saturday, April 6.
In observing The Feast of Divine Mercy we should:
- Celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday
- Sincerely repent of all our sins with complete trust in Jesus
- Receive Reconciliation prior to the feast day
- Receive Holy Eucharist on the feast day
- Venerate the Image of the Divine Mercy
In St. Faustina's vision, Jesus said: "I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over its enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I myself will defend it as My own glory."
To ensure that the faithful would observe this special day with intense devotion. Pope John Paul Il established that Mercy Sundav be enriched by a PLENARY INDULGENCE under the usual conditions.
